This February, I didn’t just have the best hen do ever, I had the best girly weekend I could’ve wished for! Marrakech has always been one of my favourite places and it was the perfect location for a few days of exotic glamour and fun.
My sister planned everything so I left London excited and wondering what we’d be getting up to.
We arrived Thursday evening and things started with a bang: a group of acrobats and a fire performer entertained us at the house, while we sipped on rosé. Following a delicious dinner, we went to bed in preparation for the full day ahead.
Friday was filled with exploring the souk, lunch on a sunny rooftop terrace, a hammam and a massage.
We returned home to rest a little before enjoying a rosé champagne cocktail, complete with male strippers who could seriously dance! My ten girlfriends and I were in stitches during their entire performance, but it was so light-hearted and enjoyable, never once did it feel anything less than hilarious.
We then danced for the next hour or so, really in the mood to party. After dinner, we headed to a nightclub and were out till the early hours of the morning, revelling in the music and enjoying being altogether.
Saturday was quite relaxed but just as magical: we drove out to one of my favourite spots in the desert and enjoyed a Sex & the City themed camel ride in our most glamorous clothes.
Following that, we had a private lunch among the sand dunes under a Bedouin tent. The afternoon was relaxing and we finished the nightin the best Moroccan restaurant of the country, savouring dish after dish and laughing constantly.
Sunday was when we headed home, but we still had the morning and afternoon to visit the Jardin Majorelle, Yves Saint Laurent museum, get some henna done, shop and savour a last lunch at the house.
I had the most incredible, magical, fun weekend ever and I’m so happy I got to share it with my closest girlfriends.
