My goal with this shoot was to create a fairy tale winter wedding inspiration, without it being a Christmas cliché. In order to do this, I listed all the seasonal elements that I love and incorporated them on top of a neutral palette of creams, light pinks and greys: these colour choices ensured that the festive reds and greens stood out against the lighter background.
On your wedding day, your hair is even more of an important feature than normal. The first step to take is actually looking at what you like, style wise. Is it an updo? Is it loose waves? Plaits? See what you are naturally drawn to and keep a Pinterest board or folder with your inspirations.
When it comes to photoshoots, I generally have two methods to get to my final mood board. The first is inspiration from one exact element or aesthetic I want to portray, say a historical period or colour for example; the second, and one I use the most, is using the venue as a springboard for my creativity. The venue I was desperate to shoot at and that I created Queen of the Desert for was unconventional to say the least.
